Donna Guerette

As the Director of Community Engagement, Donna has found a career that is profoundly rewarding on several levels.  In this position, Donna’s  focus is promoting a collaborative and community-focused culture through employee engagement, recognition and philanthropy.    As an HR professional, she had an opportunity to share the professional and personal lives of her co-workers. With the best interest of her associates at heart, Donna began by listening intently to their concerns. A full understanding of those concerns allowed Donna to offer support in a variety of ways. Donna was responsible for management of administration, management of human resources, and benefits administration for United Insurance agencies. From the time of her rise to her leadership stance at United Insurance in 2014, she was instrumental in integrating human resources initiatives into the strategic goals of the organization.

Donna has a wealth of experience in finance, administration, management, as well as human resources and she is a subject matter expert in the areas of policy and procedure development as well as best practices. As part of the management team, Donna has played a key role in supporting 7 acquisitions and the transition of three leadership teams through United’s ownership perpetuation plan. In addition, she has collaborated with the leadership team to design employee benefit programs that reflect the needs of the employees while finding cost effective solutions for the organization. Balancing the obligation to represent UI’s best interest while advocating for employees is a challenge commonly faced by HR and during those times, Donna relied on her strong skills in relationship building and sound business principles.

As a lifelong learner who takes pride in supporting others, she is committed to educating herself on the latest laws, trends, recruiting methods, and so much more.

Donna holds a degree in business management with a focus in accounting from Husson University. She has a knack for flower gardening, loves traveling, exploring new restaurants, and sharing in life’s great experiences with her family.
