Kevin Thorstenson

Kevin is a Senior Vice President & Account Executive for United Insurance Presque Isle Agency.  His responsibilities include overseeing a commercial lines insurance book, providing insurance coverage advice to clients, bringing in new Commercial, Personal, and Life insurance clients to the agency, and helping with the typical day to day agency tasks.

Kevin began his insurance career in 2006 as a commercial and personal lines producer.  He has since added Bonding and Life and Disability Insurance to his capabilities.  Prior to insurance, Kevin worked as a Sales Representative for Clukey’s Auto Supply for five years and at Fraser Paper for three years as a licensed Lumber Grader.

Kevin earned his Associates degree in Business Administration with Highest Honors at Northern Maine Community College in 2005.  Kevin received his Property & Casualty Insurance license in 2007 and received his Life & Health Insurance license in 2012. Kevin has also completed his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2013.

Kevin is a current owner of a small business in Presque Isle and is active on local working groups within Presque Isle.  He was also a former president of a National Honors Society in college, known as Alpha Beta Gamma.

Kevin married his lovely wife Mindy Churchill in 2006 and although they don’t have any kids, they do enjoy time with their niece and nephew and their two shiatzu’s, Sophie and Norman and cat Carol.  Kevin enjoys hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and spending time at camp.
