Introducing our new COO Deb Wentworth and CFO Tammy Volock

United Insurance is thrilled to announce that two deeply respected, highly experienced insurance veterans have recently joined our team in executive leadership roles.

Over the course of her 30+ year insurance career Deb Wentworth has served as an Agent, Underwriter, Sales Manager and Senior Vice President of Agency Services at some of Maine’s most recognized companies including Marsh, MEMIC, Hanover/One Beacon, and Clark/MMA. In the process, Deb has earned a reputation for thoroughness, strong leadership, and dedication to continuous improvement. In this newly created position, Deb will work closely with our account management teams to help us maintain and elevate the service standards our clients expect from us while helping us achieve our ambitious growth goals. As a member of our Executive Leadership Team, Deb will play a key role in executing our strategic plan and overseeing company-wide initiatives to ensure consistent excellence in all areas of our business. Deb earned her BA in Business Administration from Husson College, her MBA from the University of Phoenix, and is a graduate of Dale Carnegie Leadership Training and The Kellogg Executive Leadership Course. Outside of work, Deb serves on the board of directors of the American Red Cross, is the Maine State Chair for Million Women Mentors, and is an avid fan of all New England sports teams.

While Deb has performed nearly every job in the insurance industry, Tammy Volock has similarly progressive experience at organizations ranging from payroll service providers and yacht manufacturers to environmental service consultants and insurance agencies. Tammy’s accounting and analytical skills are complimented by her deep understanding of business operations and office management experience. She will be responsible for enhancing the structure and efficiency of our company-wide accounting operation and providing the reporting and guidance we need for strategic decisions.  Her communication, organization, and problem-solving skills are a strong addition to our Executive Leadership Team and her passion for community service and outdoor adventure are a great fit for our company culture. Tammy was most recently the Controller at Clark/MMA, and we are excited to apply her years of experience to our growing team.
