Laurie was a new mother and had returned home to Madawaska to raise her daughter when Scott Kent, United Insurance Senior Vice President, asked if she had ever considered a career in insurance. Laurie had always been insured through United Insurance and Scott’s offer seemed like a great opportunity. Fifteen years later, Laurie is proud of the name she’s made for herself and the person she’s become while working at United Insurance. A self-described shy person, Laurie’s career in insurance helped open a door to personal growth. Through her dedication to her job and clients, Laurie has built up confidence and earned the business and trust of many in her community. When she walks through the grocery store now, she can have easy conversations with people she would never talk to otherwise. “Everybody knows everybody in our community. I have a relationship with my clients on many levels. We talk about our families, not just about business.”
