Amanda Tjalsma

Amanda began her insurance career as an assistant center manager, assisting in creating a nationwide inbound insurance agency handling all 50 states and developing dozens of insurance professionals throughout her time there. Amanda took several years off to raise her kids and re-entered the insurance industry at State Farm. She started with United Insurance in 2021, as a Personal Lines Account Manager in Portland, and briefly as an Account Manager Floater before accepting her new role as Agency Manager. While at United Insurance, Amanda has significantly contributed to the Career Path Committee and the Change Champions. She is passionate about working with clients and helping others, her commitment to training and supporting new employees across our organization positions her well to navigate the changes and challenges that arise in our industry. She views these challenges as opportunities for learning and continued growth.

Amanda has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry and holds her property, casualty, life, and health licenses and ACSR designation.  When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, their two sons, and their dog Danny.
