Joshua Veroneau

Josh Veroneau is a middle market Employee Benefits Account Executive with United Insurance.   

After graduating from Cheverus High School in 2016, he attended Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio where he received a double major in Business Marketing and Communications.  At the start of his junior year in 2018, he started a sales internship with Liberty Mutual Insurance, and upon his graduation in 2020, accepted a fulltime offer as a personal insurance sales representative.  In his time with Liberty, Josh received multiple sales awards and was one of the leading sales reps in Cincinnati for home, auto, and life insurance lines.  After close to 4 years with the company, Josh looked to make the switch from personal to commercial and middle market business insurance, a significant step forward in the industry.  In August of 2022, Josh moved back to Maine and started as a commercial insurance account executive with United.   

Just short of a year into his commercial insurance career, he was presented with a rare opportunity to become a leader in the Employee Benefits department in June of 2023.  The combination of Josh’s experience in life and health insurance sales, along with his understanding of commercial insurance, made his move to Employee Benefits consulting a perfect fit.  Josh is middle market focused, partnering with businesses between 50-500 employees throughout Maine and New England.   

Beyond just his work and educational experience, Josh is a member of multiple networking groups and volunteer organizations in Portland.  He is a board member at PROPEL, the young professionals networking group in Portland, and serves as a co-chair of their Event Planning Committee.  He is also an active member of MEREDA, the Maine Real Estate Development Association, serving on the DevelopeME sub-committee.  Josh is also a Big at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Maine and has been paired with his little since the start of 2023.
