Shelly Peakes

Shelly joined United Insurance in August of 2024 and has 12 years of insurance experience. She is a licensed Property and Casualty agent and has a Business degree from Husson College. Shelly worked in Independent Agencies doing both commercial and personal lines until 2008 when she took a sabbatical to stay home with her daughters. During this time, she was active in her community as a member of Kiwanis, served as president on her town’s Recreation Committee as well as President of the Ridge View Booster committee. Shelly is currently president of both the ladies’ soccer and basketball booster committees at Dexter Regional High School and is active in fundraising for many other programs in her community. In 2011 she briefly got back into the insurance business to work for a startup insurance agency. Shelly resides in Dexter with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her daughter’s sporting events, and spending time at her camp on Piper Pond.
