Giving back to the community is more than just a concept for us at United Insurance—it is a responsibility to which we are proud to hold ourselves and a commitment we are proud to keep, both to our own families and neighbors and those we serve. This winter, we once again opened up our Falmouth office as a Maine Coats for Kids drop-off location and our Falmouth, Presque Isle, and Caribou offices as drop-off points for the Toys for Tots program. Coats for Kids, which is now managed by the Operation Warm organization, provides new and gently used coats for those in need; last year, Coats for Kids provided over 6,500 coats for Maine children over the 2012–2013 winter season. Toys for Tots is an organization run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, who collect donated toys from all across the nation to deliver them to less-fortunate children.
