At United Insurance, we believe that businesses and organizations have a responsibility to give back to the communities in which they operate. In April, our Madawaska location donated $5,000 to the Acadian Festival Committee; this year is particularly special for the Committee, as the St. John Valley will host the World Acadian Congress in August, drawing nearly 50,000 visitors from around the world in celebration of the rich and diverse Acadian culture. We can’t wait for the fun to begin!

In May, our Madawaska and Fort Kent offices also teamed up to sell souvenir coins to benefit the Heather and Liam Connection—a foundation dedicated to fostering Autism awareness. The staff was able to generate a combined $1-800 in total coin sales, which was complemented by $100 from each agency’s Jeans Day fund to bring the total donation to $1,000. This year, the Greater Madawaska Chamber of Commerce honored our Madawaska location with their Business of the Year award.
